PSP Invites Local Residents to Master Planning Open House

Palm Springs, CA — The Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) is excited to invite the public to its upcoming Master Plan Open House, on Tuesday, September 19, from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m., at the Palm Springs Convention Center.

The PSP Airport Master Plan process seeks to protect the airport’s iconic past while preparing for an innovative future, and this Master Plan Open House is an opportunity for residents and stakeholders to engage directly with the future development of the airport. The event will allow the community to hear about the progress that has been made in the master planning process, and for the public to share their preferences for the future development of the airport.

With a commitment to enhancing the traveler experience while also addressing sustainability, historical, and infrastructure considerations, the project team has worked carefully to chart potential courses for the airport’s evolution. Attendees will learn firsthand about the research and analyses completed, the forecasted aviation activity at PSP, and the facility requirements to serve the anticipated activity over the next two decades.

Airport leaders are also requesting feedback on several options for the airport’s future layout. The final airport master plan will include a single vision (or “alternative”) for the airport, along with proposed phasing, costs, and alignment with City sustainability goals.
